“cousin” by Regina C. Green really struck me, and I’d like to highlight it. I am an only child but the confidante of my dozens of cousins, and we used to pick blueberries together. This poem reminded me of both of these things, and with simple, elegant imagery-- sweet, but not too sweet. Also, ultimately, I’m a sucker for poems about girls with feelings for girls. I can’t help it.
